Madonna's new album

Everyone has probably heard Madonna’s new album, ‘Confessions on the Dance Floor 2’, by now. If you haven’t, you should give it a listen, and if you have, you should give it a listen again. I’m placing this one right up there with ‘Ray of Light’ as my favorite M. record.

 

You’ll find that she continues to explore the Artful Approach to Dance-Pop with some ‘Vogue’-like shout-outs in ‘Danceteria’; the most compelling one is “Shelby Cobra” (which takes us all the way back to the early 1960's} in the song ‘Bizarre’. If you’re a long-time fan who thinks she’s not doing ‘True Blue’ style ballads anymore; maybe not, but stay with it all the way to the end and you won’t be disappointed. JPM. 7/22/26
